Rotarians from the Rotary Clubs of Bedford, Concord and Lexington honored veterans at the VA Hospital in Bedford on Memorial Day. Following a special Memorial Service, veterans and their families were served lunch in the grassy courtyard outside the Chapel. Rotarians scooped ice cream topped with hot fudge, M&Ms and whipped cream supplied by Rancatore’s Ice Cream. The Rotary Club of Lexington brought a beautifully decorated “Rotary Wheel” cake that said it all,  “Thank you American Veterans on this Memorial Day…Bedford, Concord & Lexington.” We were all inspired as we chatted with men and women still bearing the wounds of many battles fought on our behalf.  Thanks to Sharon Spaulding and the Sunrise Satellite Club of Concord for organizing the event.
