Our club lost an exemplary Rotarian and a true friend, Dave Robertson.  Always ready to jump in to help, we knew we could depend on Dave to support every Rotary service project with enthusiasm and hard work.  Dave was often seen cooking and preparing meals for Bristol Lodge, BBQing for seniors at COA, and grilling for Minute Man Marchers. He volunteered with Open Table, Concord’s 250th Parade, Music Fest, and the Annual Golf Tournament, often with his family joining in as well.

Dave was also a huge supporter of the Boys & Girls Club of Assabet Valley, leading field days and a Pinewood Derby, and to honor his memory a Summer Camp Scholarship has been established in his name.

Dave was extremely active in the Rotary Club of Concord, serving a term as President, and was a member of the board for many years. He was a two-time recipient of the Paul Harris Fellowship Award, the highest Rotary Club honor bestowed. He proudly served the Concord and surrounding communities with numerous fund and friend-raising events. His contributions to the organization included: the Minute Man Arc carnival, bowling night, and grill master for the Minute Man Arc March.  He volunteered building and delivering beds with Sleep in Heavenly Peace, he labored at four different houses with Habitat for Humanity, he packaged meals with the CCHS Interact Club, assembled care packages for the Troops deployed overseas at Hanscom Air Force Base, fundraised and collected school supplies for the Stella Rosie Foundation in Uganda, fundraised for Moving Health Ambulance project in Ghana.  Dave delivered Veterans signs to Bedford Veterans Hospital, assisted Carlisle Early Act club in delivering collections during the holidays to Open Table, Stuff the Cruiser for Open Table and volunteered at Valentines Day and Jazz Club event at Concord Council for the Aging. He delivered face shields during Covid to needy organizations, 9/11 events, and so much more...

Fellow Rotarians describe Dave as “Our rock - He was the best of us!”  We miss hearing him say "What can I do to help."

Dave Robertson left behind a lasting legacy and will be greatly missed.
