On Thursday October 23 many of our club members volunteered at Habitat for Humanity's latest Concord building project. The weather was perfect and our club enjoyed the hard work and camaraderie. We had a morning crew and an afternoon crew with a noon time break so we could all have lunch together. This is the third year we have participated in honor of June Grace, a much loved member of our club who was a huge supporter of Habitat.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell serves sixteen towns in Middlesex county including Concord, Bedford, Carlisle, Chelmsford and several other area towns. Through generous donations of time, labor, and materials Habitat is able to build affordable homes for people who could not otherwise afford to be home owners.  Applicants must complete sweat equity hours (225 hours for a single applicant and 450 hours for dual applicants) building their own or other Habitat homes and attending financial training and homeownership programs. The town of Concord supports Habitat with the Community Preservations Fund and the Concord Housing Authority.
