The Bristol Lodge dinner is on November 8.  People are needed to cook at 3:00 and serve at 5:00.
President Steve reminded everyone to bring in children’s books for Mary’s House.  He got some very gently used books at the Carlisle Swap Shed.  You can also bring the books to the Sunrise meeting.
Sharon is organizing the lunch at the Bedford VA on Veterans’ Day, November 11.  We will work with several other groups to serve lunch to the vets.  Volunteers are needed at 10:00am.  Please contact Sharon if you can help.

Program:
Matt Hollister gave an introduction.  He is the owner of Hollister Insurance, which he started in 1999.  His mother became the office manager and found office space for them in Clinton.  It was a long drive, but the rent was only $100 per month.  His business has grown over the years and now he has seven employees.  This summer the office moved to West Concord.  He specializes in insurance and also benefits planning, Human Resources, and compliance.  Finding value is a strength of his company.  Matt is married to Nicole, who owns a home health care business with her sisters.  They have two children, a daughter age 13 who loves theatre, cross country and track, and a son age 11 who loves soccer.  Matt graduated from Northeastern and has a Master’s Degree in health care policy from BU.

Lisa Chaffin also briefly introduced herself.  She grew up in Concord and Carlisle, and she worked in the publishing industry before having children.  She has been at home raising her boys for several years.  Now that they are getting older, she is interested in getting back into the workforce.

Door Prize:
John Lombard won this week’s door prize.

CONCORD OFFERS ADDITIONAL MEETING OPPORTUNITY
Are you an early bird? Can’t do lunch? The Rotary Club of Concord has added a second meeting to their weekly schedule.  Rotarians and their guests may now attend a breakfast meeting from 7:30 a.m. until 8:15 a.m. at the Colonial Inn, 48 Monument Square in Concord. Featuring a hearty breakfast and an informal format, the meeting fits the bill for those who want to be part of Rotary’s many activities, but cannot make a luncheon meeting. Full attendance credit will be given to Concord Rotarians and Rotarians visiting from other clubs.  Please drop in and experience an inspiring start to your day. Learn about upcoming Rotary projects and discuss timely topics.
